A MOTHERWELL student has been helped on his way to university thanks to a Glasgow-based radio station.
As part of a year-long project towards an HND in sound production at James Watt College in Greenock, Lee Adam (25) formed a business plan for a hypothetical recording studio.
He was invited for a tour of Ballieston-based Rock Radio by chief engineer and DJ Phil Reed who was happy to endorse Lee’s proposal.
Lee said: “Phil was happy to endorse my plans.
“He said that if it was ever to be built they’d be happy to use it for recording purposes and, with an ISDN line, could even use it for live broadcasts.”
Lee got an A for his project and has been accepted by Abertay University in Dundee to study creative sound production.
Phil said: “I was extremely impressed by all the work and effort Lee put in.”
