The Times & Speaker continues our new feature as Motherwell DJ William Bonner casts his expert eye on the local dance music scene.
This week William reveals details of some of the biggest names in the business coming to Strathclyde Park this summer.
Scotland’s biggest clubbing brands Colours and Stereofunk bring Swedish House Mafia legend Steve Angello and his ‘Size Matters’ brand to Strathclyde Park on Friday, August 23.
Since going solo, Steve has sold out shows across the world and is an elite member of the DJ Mag top 100. He has also had huge success with recent release ‘Yeah’.
Other headliners include AN21 & Max Vangelli, Qulinez, Third Party, Wayne & Woods, Tim Mason, as well as Stereofunk residents Kelman & Lennon.
Qulinez said: “We love Scotland and the Scottish people, always jumping and going nuts, so this is something they don’t want to miss.”
Wayne & Woods added: “It’s gonna get really sexy and bumpy. We love playing in Scotland as it’s such a high energy crowd so see you guys down the front.”
Myself and Josh Hill (Violet Rockstars) and fellow Colours and Stereofunk regulars Jordan Irwin, Gary Livingstone and Jack Diamond are also on the bill and I’m sure I speak for us all when I say I’m privileged to be invited.
The explosion of electronic dance music has really got a firm grip of clubbers in Scotland and becoming renowned as many DJs favourite crowd.
The electric and high energy atmosphere has touched the hearts of so many superstars so get your tickets and join in the fun this August.
Early bird tickets are now on sale costing £29.50 (rising to £34.50).
These are available from William Bonner, Josh Hill, Jordan Irwin and Jack Diamond through the MotherwellMusicScene page on Facebook or visiting Colours
With both Colours and Stereofunk selling out the majority of their shows and festivals, it is expected to be another sold out event.
