No compromise in the tale of UK’s Iron Lady

From grocer’s daughter to the highest profile leader in the world, the journey of Margaret Thatcher has never a dull moment - The Iron Lady released tomorrow (Friday) at The Vue in Hamilton.

The Iron Lady is the hotly-awaited biopic of the former British Prime Minister, played by Meryl Streep, who travelled a long and arduous road to power as the first female leader of a major Western democracy.

From the corridors of power, where women were supposed to be more concerned about their husband’s dinners than matters of state, to the helm of the nation with the Falklands War, terrorist attacks and the long knives of her colleagues to deal with every day, it’s a fascinating story of one woman’s transformation with a performance that will be talked about for years.
