Newarthill rapper Logik is nearing the release of his second album and is getting noticed across Britain.

He has been working with producers behind the likes of Dappy, Wretch 32 and Giggs and says ‘Class Of My own’ will be more personal than his first album ‘Music Is My Hustle’.

Logik said: “I’m going all out and working with amazing artists and producers, the album already has 16 songs with more to be added.

“This one is more about me, and if all goes to plan I’m hoping for a mid-summer release, but before that we will also be giving away a free five track EP featuring some more Motherwell talent.

“I received sponsorship from the Beanscene Cafe in Clarkston. They play my music there and in the future aim to do some acoustic gigs.”

Logik’s latest single ‘Believe’ and other tracks, received airplay on BBC Radio 1Xtra, and has also featured on local radio in Manchester, London and Leeds.

He said: “Believe did pretty well after it’s release on February and it’s great stations down south are supporting my music.

“It’s a shame there’s not many stations like that here in Scotland, as we really only have BBC Introducing.”
