The stakes for Hamilton Park Racecourse’s best dressed lady competition just got higher with the announcement of a £3,000 prize fund.
Women from across the country will be hoping they’re the hot favourite to be crowned this year’s best dressed at Saturday’s Ladies’ Night fixture with a £1,000 cash first prize and other plush goodies on offer.
Hamilton Park chief executive Vivien Kyles said: “This year we decided to up the ante considerably by increasing the Best Dressed Lady competition prize value to £3000, with a £1,000 first prize up for grabs.
“The ladies who regularly come along to the fixture don’t need any further incentive to glam it up for a night at the races. They always pull out the stops at Hamilton Park, particularly at Ladies’ Night.
“However, winning £1000 just for looking fabulous could well ensure that Ladies’ Night 2013 goes stratospheric in terms of style and sophistication.”
In addition jewellery giant Tresor Paris will give away 250 pairs of earrings, there will be a shopping marquee, a champagne bar staffed by topless barmen and live post-racing music from Robbie Wiliams tribute Millennium.
There will also be a full card of six races
Gates will open at 4.15pm with the first race at 6.15pm (last race 8.45pm) including the IHE Stainless Ltd Handicap, a qualifier for the £15,000 Betfair Scottish Mile Series Final, and Download The Free Racing UK app H’cap, a qualifier for the £15,000 Betfair Scottish Stayers’ Series Final.
Advance tickets start at £18 (£20 at the gate) and are available from Hamilton Park website or call 01698 283806.
