AS part of its current ‘Cinemania’ exhibition, North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre in Motherwell is running a programme of free afternoon matinees, featuring a selection of seasonal Hollywood blockbusters.
At 2pm each day throughout December (except Sundays) there is a rotation of one film from either the 1947 or 1994 versions of Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Carol from 1984, Holiday Inn, White Christmas and The Muppet Christmas Carol.
Showings are free, parties of six and more are asked to call 01698 274590 to reserve places as the auditorium only holds 70 at one sitting.
Children’s craft activities take place each Saturday from 11am-3pm, plus Christmas Eve and Hogmanay.
Cinemania runs until January 27, exploring Lanarkshire’s place in cinema history through film clips, photographs, artefacts and exhibition tours.
