MEMBERS of Bothwell and Hamilton Rock Choirs travelled to London earlier this month to perform in a special concert at Wembley Arena.
Other 8,000 choir members from Portsmouth to Glasgow gathered in the capital for the first time to belt out four hours of pop, gospel, Motown and chart songs.
The two Lanarkshire choirs started in January under the leadership of Jennifer Sim, who was thrilled to be part of the occasion which as well as being fun drew attention to the charities Refuge and Missing People.
She said: “It was just a phenomenal experience for everyone.”
The Rock Choir is featured in a new three part STV documentary which starts tonight (Thursday).
In January, the STV cameras came to film at Bothwell and on the way to Wembley interviewed 76-year-old member Una Wilson.The Lanarkshire choirs are currently preparing for another mass concert at the Glasgow City Halls on Monday, July 4.
Singing taster sessions are taking place at The National Piping Centre in Glasgow at 12.30pm for the next three Sundays as well as 3pm on July 3.
