Supermarket undergoes a makeover

Paralympic medallist Robert McPherson has been helping Morrisons in Bellshill celebrate a seven-week makeover.

The wheelchair curler, who won bronze at Sochi 2014, marked the completion of works to the 30-year old store by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

The makeover came after Morrisons asked customers what they through of the store, and as a result has been transformed with new features including: a new Food to Go range, a revamped ‘Free From’ range, a new look petrol station, and refurbished customer café.

Store manager Frank Parker said: “We’ve listened to our customers and created a store to suit the Bellshill families and busy shoppers that come through our doors. It was great to have Robert with his medal at the store, everyone loved it.”
