Price Waterhouse Cooper is currently working with the council on upgrading its IT networks, which could potentially result in job losses.

At a public meeting held in Motherwell Civic Centre it was confirmed by assistant chief executive Robert Steenson that the council was reaching out to trade unions to organise workshops about the changes to IT.

A video has also been published on the council website and YouTube.

No specific details are available about the impact of these IT changes on staff, but council representatives reaffirmed their commitment to keep the unions informed going forward.
