North Lanarkshire Youth Theatre is participating in the National Connections Festival for the second time next week.

Connections is the National Theatre’s annual festival of new plays and performances for youth theatres and schools.

It’s the largest festival of its kind in the world and involves more than 200 youth theatres across the UK in this prestigious event.

North Lanarkshire Youth Theatre is delighted to be presenting The Crazy Sexy Cool Girls Fan Club on Thursday, March 12, in Motherwell Theatre.

This brand new piece of drama was especially written for young people by Sarah Solemani, a riotous satire which explores the teen politics of a ‘friendship group’, and the chaos and torment that can come with stardom at an early age.

Answering the questions ... What makes a ‘fan’ girl? Who are they? What do they want? This is a play about desire, fantasy and worship with a hilarious and horrifying showdown finish.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets costing £5 (£3.50 concession) are available by calling 01698 403120 or visiting www.culturenl.co.uk.
