Members of the Easter Egg Club were delighted to present St Bernadette’s Wednesday Club with a cheque for £400.

This comes after a bucket collection was held at every performance of their last show ‘Our Sound of Musicals’ which took place in Motherwell Theatre in April.

The Wednesday Club provides a youth club every Wednesday during term time for children with additional support needs to have some fun and social interaction, as well as providing their parents with some much needed respite.

The Easter Egg Club have been busy over the summer planning for their next show ‘Lights, Camera, Musicals’.

It will run in Motherwell Theatre from Tuesday, April 21, to Saturday, April 25, and feature songs from hit stage and screen musicals including My Fair Lady, Mamma Mia, Billy Elliott, Jersey Boys, The King and I, Sister Act and Sunshine on Leith.

Rehearsals start on Thursday, September 18, in the Dalziel Park Clubhouse and will continue every Thursday evening until Christmas with additional Sundays after the break as the show gets nearer.

The club is eager to attract new members of all ages, with a particular need for men.

No previous experience is necessary, just have a reasonable singing voice and be willing to work hard while at the same time make new friends and have lots of fun.
