There is a buzz being created at Amazonia

Amazonia at M&D’s in Strathclyde Park will be creating a bit of a buzz to celebrate some new arrivals on tomorrow (Sunday).

Scotland’s only Indoor Tropical Rainforest will welcome honey bees to the attraction and has reduced the admission fee to £2.50 for the special day.

From 11am-5pm visitors will be treated to a host of activities, including face painting, balloon modelling, badge making, a raffle and bee keeper talks as well as the opportunity for children to dress up as a bee keeper.

An area has been specially designed outside the rainforest to house the bee hive all year round. Visitors will be able to learn about the insects from staff and maybe even catch a glimpse of them producing honey.
