Legendary Bellshill band Teenage Fanclub make their long-awaited return with the release of their 10th album Here in September.

Coming six years after their last album Shadows, the new record will be released on the band’s own PeMa label via Republic Of Music on September 9.

First single I’m In Love was given its exclusive first play by Mark Radcliffe on 6Music and is available to stream from https://soundcloud.com/theepema/iminlove.

As ever, the Fanclub present a textbook representation of democracy in action, with Here offering four tracks each by founding members Norman Blake, Gerard Love and Raymond McGinley.

From the almighty chime of opener I’m In Love through The First Sight’s ecstatic soul-search and the paean to unerring friendship With You, Here is a collection of twelve songs about the only things that truly matter - life and love.

Here was recorded with the band’s soundman David Henderson alongside regular drummer Francis Macdonald and keyboard player Dave McGowan in three distinctly different environments, initially at Vega in rural Provence, then at Raymond’s home in Glasgow before mixing at Clouds Hill in the industrial heart of Hamburg.

This is a record that embraces maturity and experience and hugs them close and as always seems to be the case with the Fanclub seems like the effortless work of a band entirely confident in their own craft as they near three decades of working together.

Here is available to pre-order on vinyl, CD, cassette and digital online

Signed copies, clear vinyl and cassettes are also available in limited quantities.

Teenage Fanclub are touring across the UK and due to gigs at the Barrowlands and ABC in Glasgow selling out another date has been added at the Barrowlands on December 4, for details see their website
