After their heart-rending and informative performance of Lifeboat last autumn, Sell a Door Theatre Company return to Motherwell Theatre at on Sunday with another educational tale.

Adapted by emerging playwright Ivan Wilkinson, the company launch their 2014 season with this highly imaginative re-telling of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic story Kidnapped.

An adventure tale for all the family, Kidnapped tells the story of Davie Balfour (Stewart McCheyne/Jamie Laird) as he survives both shipwreck and murder to dramatically escape to the Scottish Highlands.

Set against the fierce social and political backdrop of 1750s Scotland, this gripping, fast paced adventure story is packed full of physical storytelling and imagination, making it perfect for young and old audiences alike.
