M&D’s Theme Park is getting ready for an extra special Christmas this year as it prepares to open Santa’s Magical Wonderland.

Santa and his helpers will arrive on a train packed full of presents and goodies on Friday at 4.30pm, marking the start of the Christmas season at M&D’s.

Knoxy from Clyde One will be on hand to help the crowd countdown to Santa’s arrival.

East Kilbride Figure Skating Club will put on a spectacular performance to officially open the ice-rink.

Lose yourself in the magic of Christmas as the figure skaters glide across the shimmering ice as part of a thrilling 60-minute performance.

Matthew Taylor, managing director of M&D’s Theme Park, said: “This year is without doubt shaping up to be our best Christmas yet. We have a fantastic opening night for all of the family to enjoy.

“The skaters have been working hard to perfect their routine and there might even be a special appearance from a ‘Frozen’ character on the night.”

Silvanna Cameron, skating coach at EKFSC, added: “The skaters are all thrilled to be back opening the ice at M&D’s this Christmas. They work extremely hard on their routines throughout the year and see this performance as the most fun.”
