Author Christopher Brookmyre, comedian Bruce Morton, and former Manfred Man lead singer Paul Jones are among the headliners at The Biggar Little Festival from October 17-27.
If theatricals is your thing you could start off with a production of Calendar Girls, visit the Victorian puppet theatre for puppetry and films and then enjoy a hilarious evening of Biggar Shorts from Biggar Theatre Workshop.
Music lovers are spoilt for choice with Paul Jones and Digby Fairweather’s Half Dozen, Archie Fisher, Breabach, North Sea Gas, The Biggar Big Band, Rob Hall and Chick Lyall, Tenacious T’weed and Dukes of Uke.
In addition there will be art exhibitions around every corner, an open studio tour in the area and workshops for singers, dancers, artists, knitters, and crafters, old and young.
The Biggar and Better Biggar Day Out is on Sunday, October 20, with street entertainment, food and craft fair, book fair, children’s activities, live music, 5km fun run and a beer festival.
It ends with the Grande Finale Fireworks spectacular on Sunday, October 27.
