Motherwell Library hosts two free author visits to celebrate Book Week Scotland.
Tomorrow (Thursday) at 7pm Doug Johnstone is in town - last year he was an Amazon number-one best seller with Hit and Run and released his latest novel Gone Again in March.
Doug has been selected as a Fiction Uncovered winner and will discuss his writing style and career .
Then on Saturday at 2pm local man Des McAnulty will be telling of his themes and experiences behind his cult debut novel, Life is Local, set in Motherwell during the summer of 2002.
CultureNL chairwoman Heather McVey, said: “We are delighted to be involved in Scottish Book Week with these two fascinating events.
“They promise to be of great interest to local readers, offering a wonderful opportunity to meet the authors, explore writing styles and reach into the creation of their work.”
