Make a day of it at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility as Ladies’ Day – Handbags and Gymbags Event returns for a a second year.

To coincide International Women’s Day, Clyde 1 presenter Gina McKie hosts a day full of fitness, fun, leisure and pleasure on Saturday, March 8, from 10am -5pm.

This year there are a few special treats in store including a mega super circuits class with the Scottish Rugby 7s Commonwealth Team, who are currently based at Ravenscraig.

There will also be two very special fitness class sessions with a Les Mills master trainer who will take guests through their paces with slick routines for body combat and body attack.

Also available over the course of the morning will be some favourites like metafit, powerhoop, thump and piloxing.

After all that hard work ladies can kick back, relax, take a shower and then enjoy a champagne afternoon tea costing £9.95.

In addition there will be lots of stalls with all the usual girlie delights, offering the opportunity to feel pampered, indulge in beauty treatments and therapies, browse some lovely gifts and watch a fashion show with some beautiful dresses on show.

Facility manager at Ravenscraig, John Swanson (pictured), said: “Fitness should be fun and exciting and the range of classes we have on for the ladies day is brilliant, there really is something for everyone.

“Last year’s event was truly fantastic and we are certain that this year’s event will be even better.

“With a champagne tea at only £9.95 and a glass of champagne at only £4 you can reward yourselves for all your hard work.

“It’s going to be a great day out so make sure you are there”.
