M&D’s Theme Park has been transformed into a winter wonderland with the opening of Santa’s Magical Wonderland.

Santa and his helpers steamed into M&D’s on a Christmas train packed full of presents to unveil the Christmas spectacular.

Until Christmas Eve children can visit Santa’s grotto and enjoyed festive scenes and winter animatronics, including a display from the Snow Queen and her pixies.

They can also experience traditional Christmas storytelling in M&D’s 100-seat theatre and meet Santa’s Reindeer, who will be on site until December 22.

Matthew Taylor, managing director of M&D’s Theme Park, said: “I would like to thank all the performers and visitors who joined us for the premier night of Santa’s Magical Wonderland.

“Families visiting the Christmas Wonderland will be wowed by the magical arena we have created and I would encourage everyone to get their tickets booked early in order to avoid disappointment.”

The award-winning East Kilbride Figure Skating Club have also been dazzling visitors with a spectacular performance to officially open the ice-rink this Christmas season.

Matthew said: “The ice-rink will be open until Sunday, February 14, and has already proved to be a popular addition to Santa’s Magical Wonderland, giving children an unforgettable Christmas experience.”
