So popular is his current tour that comedian and author Dave Gorman has added new dates for 2015 - and Motherwell is on the list.

The funnyman’s live career has seen him sell out multiple tours of the UK, have extended runs off-Brodway in New York, a successful four-month tour of America and take responsibility for the fastest selling show in the history of the Studio Theatre at The Sydney Opera House.

Of course, many will know Dave for being on, well Dave, and he will return to the channel with a third series of Modern Life is Goodish next autumn.

An instant hit, the debut series in 2013 was the highest rating new commission on Dave, and the show became the most popular original comedy commission ever for the network, with over six million viewers tuning in for the series.

As well as appearing on our screens, Dave has also squeezed in appearances across the pond, including on The Late Show with Dave Letterman and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

His latest tour - Dave Gorman Gets Straight To The Point... (The PowerPoint) - will take in Motherwell Concert Hall on Saturday, November 7, 2015.

Speaking of the tour, Dave said: “When I did the Sit Down, Pedal, Pedal, Stop and Stand Up tour I was returning to live work after a long break and didn’t really know where I wanted to go with things.

“As it was, the second half of that show is where I first fused the use of PowerPoint I developed in the storytelling shows with a different kind of stand-up sensibility.

“Everything that’s followed since - the Powerpoint Presentation tour and Modern Life Is Goodish - has gone further down that road and I feel like I’ve found the best way of making the thoughts in my head live for an audience.

“It just fits. I wish I’d discovered it sooner!”
