A talented teenager from Motherwell has danced her way to a place in the National Youth Dance Company of Scotland (NYDCS).
Jessica Ho beat 50 other auditionees to be chosen by YDance, the national youth dance organisation, for their flagship 2014/2015 company.
She’s now preparing to work with Anna Kenrick, NYDCS choreographer and YDance’s artistic director, to create an exciting new piece to be premiered at YDance Routes Destinations in Stirling this February.
Jessica has been dancing since the age of three and experienced in ballet, jazz and contemporary and is currently studying BA Hons Contemporary Dance at The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in Dundee.
She said: “Being accepted to be part of the National Youth Dance Company of Scotland is such an amazing opportunity for me in my final year of training.
“I am so fortunate to be accepted and can’t wait to work with all the other talented dancers and experience performing alongside them.
“I know this year of being part of the company will be such an extraordinary opportunity and allow me to experience new things.”
