Hamilton Operatic and Dramatic Club presents the Royal Shakespeare Company’s version of The Wizard of Oz at Motherwell Concert Hall from Tuesday, November 18 to Saturday, November 22.

Join Dorothy (Marianne Millard) as a tornado takes her from her home in Kansas to the magical land of Oz.

There she encounters Glinda, the good witch, and the Munchkins and is sent off down the yellow brick road to ask for the help of the Wizard to send her back home.

Along the way she teams up with the scarecrow, tin man and lion as they search for a brain, a heart and courage.

The timeless soundtrack includes ‘Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead’, ‘Off To See The Wizard’, ‘Merry Old Land of Oz’ and of course the iconic ‘Over The Rainbow’.

Performances are at 7.30pm each night with a Saturday matinee at 2pm.

Tickets costing £12-£15, £10-£12 for over 65s (Tuesday) and £40 for a family of four (Tuesday-Thursday and Saturday matinee) are available by calling 01698 264315/385627 or visiting www.ticketsource.co.uk/hamiltonoperatic.

After each performance a collection will be taken for The Scottish Huntington’s Association.
