A new exhibition at North Lanarkshire Heritage Centre in Motherwell celebrates the history of the Globe Cemetery.

It has been put together by members of the Motherwell Occupational Therapy Team who have been working with North Lanarkshire Council’s environmental staff to return the long-closed Globe to its former glory.

The exhibition looks back at the history of the site which opened as Dalziel Camp Cemetery in 1874, becoming the Globe in 1917.

In addition the lives and deeds of the 12 war veterans buried there are celebrated.
