Dalziel Rugby Club has lost the services of head coach Stewart Milne who is stepping down due to work commitments.
Milne joined Dalziel in August as assistant coach, before taking over as head coach from John Mathieson in October.
Since Milne took over, results of the First XV have improved, with only one defeat in the last six games of the season securing Dalziel’s National League status.
Milne was appointed as development officer at Stirling County in January, having previously held a similar post with Falkirk Council, and has not been able to fully commit to Dalziel.
Milne said: “I’m gutted to be leaving the club and hugely appreciate all the work from everyone.
“Most of all, thanks to all the players, I really enjoyed working with them, and enjoyed progressing through the season.
“I see huge potential in the club and wish them all the very best of luck in the future.”
Dalziel president Drew Moonie added: “We are very sad to see Stewart moving on as he has had a hugely positive effect on the club.
“However, we wish him the very best of luck and are sure that he will be similarly successful in his new role at Stirling.”
