Bellshill boxer Ronnie Nailen lifted gold as he returned to the ring for the first time in more than ten years.

The 32-year-old super-middleweight beat Justin Marriot on a KO Promotions card at Rivals Gym in Wishaw for the semi-professional Four Nations title.

Nailen was one of Scotland’s top amateurs with just four defeats from 80 fights before turning professional in 2001 and won three of his four fights before personal issues saw him step away from the sport.

The boxer, who trains at Fighting Scots Gym in Mossend, will now headline Fight Club at the Alona Hotel in Strathclyde Park on Saturday, March 15.
