New Stevenston teenager Aidan Crichton has enjoyed success in a new sport.
The 15-year-old Brannock High pupil has previously won medals in football and athletics, and has now turned his attention to swimming.
As a member of 449 Lanark Sqn Air cadets, Aidan took part in the annual air cadet West of Scotland Wing swimming competition winning silver medals in the individual medley and the relay team and a bronze in the butterfly.
His success as part of the team haul of 19 medals saw 449 Lanark take first place in the competition and lift The John Miller trophy.
Squadron commander Flt Lt Andy Sutherland said: “This was a great individual and team effort for the squadron.
“The swimming competition is the first event of the sporting calendar and has put 449 squadron off to a good start.”
