Morrison set for Euro title bid

BARRY Morrison's manager Tommy Gilmour has warned Paul McCloskey not to take the Forgewood fighter lightly when the Irishman defends his European light welterweight title in October.

McCloskey will enjoy home advantage at The Aura in Letterkenny on Saturday, October 2, as European championship boxing arrives in Donegal for the very first time.

McCloskey is currently rated number four in the world by the WBC and is looking to press his claims for a shot at the world's elite.

But Gilmour warned: He said: "Barry realises that this is probably a now or never fight as realistically it will be his last chance to prove himself at European level.

"Barry still has a lot to offer and I think he will prove that against McCloskey."
