Keeper Kenny has future in safe hands
BELLSHILL-born Kenny Arthur is a firm believer that that future of goalkeeping is safe in his hands.
The 29-year-old, currently with English side Accrington Stanley, has designed his own range of goalkeeper gloves which he believes will be winners.
The ex-Partick Thistle stopper came up with the idea after trying out the majority of gloves on the market during his 14-year professional career.
Arthur said: "It was something I always wanted to do.
"I have a business degree and am creative. Having used a range of gloves over the years I decided I wanted to create my own from nothing. It is something I feel very passionate about.
"I came up with a several designs and tested numerous materials. The end result is something I am extremely proud of. I feel I have brought to market a top of the range goalkeeper glove.
"They do everything a top spec glove should - they have excellent grip and are very comfortable. The feedback received from both professional and amateur keepers has been extremely positive."
Arthur signed professionally for Thistle in 1997 and spent ten years there, making almost 300 appearances.
He had a testimonial before trying out the English League where he played for Accrington Stanley in League Two last season.
