RACEGOERS will be hoping for pot-luck at Hamilton Park tomorrow (Wednesday) at the racecourse’s new ‘McGhee’s Teaz Raceday’, a unique new partnership with McGhee’s Bakery.

Visitors will have the option of taking the McGhee’s Teaz package which includes admission badge to enjoy the fixtures seven races; a selection of sandwiches, a pie and McGhee’s cakes and pastries; unlimited tea or coffee whilst in the bistro; and official race programme.

Hamilton Park has invested in a new dedicated cafe area for the offering.

For fans who fancy a flutter with their cuppa there will be seven races throughout the afternoon, including the Sam Collingwood-Cameron Handicap and the McGhee’s Teaz Handicap feature race.

Hamilton Park chief executive Vivien Kyles said: “Our McGhee’s Teaz package is the ideal accompaniment to an afternoon’s racing, serving up a selection of freshly baked snacks sure to whet the appetite of any race-goer.

“The partnership with McGhee’s was designed to offer maximum value for visitors to Hamilton Park and its popularity so far this season represents this. After all, what better way is there to enjoy an exciting schedule of racing than with a nice, warm afternoon cuppa?”

McGhee’s Bakery, sales manager Ross Hamilton, added: “The McGhee’s Teaz package has already proven to be really successful so we’re all very excited about this fixture.

“It’s the perfect extension to the Geez McGhee’s brand, adding to the overall visitor experience at Hamilton Park. Let’s hope we boost the probabili-tea by picking some winners on the day.”

The first race leaves the gates at 2.20pm and admission to the racecourse is available from 12.20pm.
