Birkenshaw boxer Eamonn Goodbrand aims to recover from comeback loss

BIRKENSHAW boxer Eamonn Goodbrand lost his comeback fight at Dalziel Park on Friday but is eager to make amends when he steps back into the ring on Saturday, October 18.

Eamonn (20) was out of action for almost 18 months after damaging ligaments in his wrist, before facing Moroccan Yassine El Maachi.

El Maachi won on points after a close fight to hand Eamonn his first professional defeat.

The light-middleweight is now determined to do better when he meets Kevin Lilley over four rounds in Paisley on Saturday.
