Bellshill Athletic and Thorniewood United have both been handed home ties in the draw for the second round of the Emirates Scottish Junior Cup.
Bellshill’s reward for beating Lesmahagow in the first round is a tough test against 2010 finalists Largs Thistle while Thorniewood, having disposed of Kirkcaldy YM, face another East Region side, Dundee North End.
Largs currently sit in fifth place in the Central League First Division as they seek a quickfire return to the top flight following relegation from the Premier Division last season.
Dundee North End are fourth in the East Region North Division with six points from three games. The ties are due to be played on Saturday, October 20.
Meanwhile Bellshill will be out to enjoy an away day win for the third week in a row when they travel to face Lanark United on Saturday.
Athletic followed victory at Lesmahagow with success at Shettleston in the league on Saturday and will want to keep their run going against their county rivals.
All seven Central League First Division points gained by Bellshill this season have come away from home and three more on Saturday will help steer them away from the relegation zone.
Thorniewood will also be chasing vital league points when they entertain Kilbirnie Ladeside in a Super League First Division encounter at Robertson Park.
United won last time out in the league - their only success so far - but their away game against Kello Rovers last weekend was postponed. They are looking for points to keep them out of the drop zone.
Saturday’s games will kick-off at 2pm.
