Scotland Women made a successful debut at their new home of Fir Park last week with a thumping 7-0 victory over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Following on from their 7-2 win in the Faroe Isles, the Scots have made an excellent start to the campaign as they try to qualify for the 2015 World Cup in Canada.
Leanne Crichton hit the bar before LISA EVANS gave the home side the lead with a fine individual effort.
It was soon 2-0 Kim Little and Jane Ross combined to set up LEANNE ROSS, and then JANE ROSS got in the act herself rounding Almina Hodzic in the Bosnian goal.
So 3-0 at half-time and the one-way traffic continued after the break as RACHEL CORSIE headed in with the aid of the post.
Evans tormented down the left at every opportunity and set up JANE ROSS for an easy tap-in.
The goal difference was then boosted further as Jenny Beattie’s header deflected off AMIRA SPAHIC and past Hodziz, with substitute SUZANNE LAPPIN slotting in the seventh to complete the rout.
With group four also featuring Sweden, Poland and Northern Ireland, Scotland can be sure of sterner tests to come, but could be well satisfied with their night’s work.
