Junior sides Thorniewood United and Bellshill Athletic will be out to bounce back from disappointing results last week as they continue to chase vital league points.
Both sides had to settle for draws from seemingly winning positions with Thorniewood losing a 2-0 lead against Super League First Division title chasers Beith and Bellshill conceding a stoppage time equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Central First Division rivals Larkhall at Fullarton Park.
The two sides are at home again this Saturday with Thorniewood taking on Kilsyth Rangers, a side they convincingly beat 3-0 away from home only two weeks ago.
Five places, but only three points, separate sixth-placed Thorniewood and 11th placed Kilsyth in the table so the outcome of Saturday’s game could have a vital bearing on who goes down at the end of the season.
Bellshill remain second in the table but have now gone four league games without a win and now face a St Anthony’s side who thumped them 4-0 in the Central League Cup in February.
However Athletic did get the better of the previous league metting between the sides, winning 1-0 away in October.
Both Saturday’s games start at 2pm.
