MOTHERWELL Supporters' Trust this week expressed its 'disappointment' at the departure of manager Craig Brown and his assistant Archie Knox.
Although a statement issued by the Trust recognises the job done by the duo it says the fans had been misled over the intial suggestion that Brown and Knox would reject a move to Pittodrie.
And the Trust has also backed the club in its stance against the way Aberdeen went about securing the duo's services.
A Trust spokesperson said: "While we thank Craig and Archie for their efforts over the last 12 months, equally we would condemn the misleading of fans that resulted from the statements on Wednesday (December 8) that reassured the club that the management team was likely to stay.
"The Trust board fully backs the complaint that the club has made to the SPL and hopes that appropriate action is taken."
The departure of Brown has also forced the Trust to change its line-up for the exclusive fans' forum it is hosting at Fir Park on Thursday, December 16.
The former manager had had been lined up as one of the main panel members for the event being held in the Centenary Suite at 7.30pm, but in light of his departure his place will now be taken by club chief executive Leeann Dempster.
Former Motherwell defender Craig Paterson, SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster and journalist Bill Leckie will make up the rest of the panel for the event.
