A Yorkshire mum has thanked Motherwell football fans after getting a surprise Christmas present.

Bradford City supporters Jodie Crabtree and her son, Lewis, who has cerebral palsy, attended the pre-season friendly between the clubs and got chatting to Bill Reside and his son Stephen.

Jodie said: “Bill promised Lewis a gift and wouldn’t let us leave without giving him our address.

“We have now received two Motherwell shirts and a wonderful picture of Stephen and Lewis.

“A big, big thank you to them and hopefully we’ll see them again next year in Scotland!”
