EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week it is the turn of Dash and Pebbles, who are currently staying at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

Centre assistant manager Lorraine Alba said: “Dash and Pebbles are two lovely little cockatiels who arrived here after their owner could no longer care for them.

“They are social and intelligent birds who love playing and being spoken to. Dash and Pebbles enjoy each other’s company so we are looking to rehome them together.

“Cockatiels can live for as long as 15 to 20 years, so taking on this pair is a long-term commitment. We’ve no doubt they’ll reward their new owner with plenty of love and affection for years to come.”

If you can offer Dash and Pebbles a loving home, please call the SSPCA animal helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.
