Pupils from Elisa’s Dance Academy in Bellshill attended a masterclass run by American dance teacher Abbey-Lee Miller, star of the TV show Dance Moms.

The students were put through their paces at the Corn Exchange in Edinburgh as they were given an insight into what to expect at an audition.

A total of 500 dancers took part in the masterclass with Abbey-Lee selecting half a dozen girls for special attention including one of Elisa’s dancers, Elle Owen.

The youngsters were taken through a mock audition process for getting into Abbey-Lee’s school in LA, being given tips along the way about how to react to questions about their abilities and were even invited to show off their singing talent.

Elisa’s Dance Academy meets in the Joe McKay Centre, teaching tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop.
