Bus operator First Lanarkshire has invested £5 million on the 201 route which connects Airdrie with East Kilbride via Motherwell and Bellshill.
The investment sees 31 brand new single deck buses introduced on the route which feature leather seating, free wifi and easy access for wheelchair users and buggies.
First Lanarkshire’s managing director Fiona Kerr said: “This is great news for our customers, our fleet of 31 specially route branded new buses have the latest features to ensure our customers travel in enhanced comfort and style.
“We want to provide the best possible journey experience for our customers and we recognise that more of our customers want to stay connected while on the move which is why we are also providing free wifi.”
