Train operator shows off winter plans

SCOTRAIL is holding a roadshow in Motherwell next week to highlight its £2 million plans to better prepare for a severe winter.

Commuters will be encouraged to sign up for live travel alerts and given 10 different options to stay informed when planning journeys when the roadshow hits town on Friday, November 11.

The interactive mobile exhibition will be at the car park in front of Motherwell Station from 7am to 7pm.

It will feature laptops, internet access, information leaflets and promotional giveaways.

The train operator’s £2 million spend this winter includes new equipment and initiatives to keep more trains running, improve passenger information, and enhance access at stations.
