Police were called to Strathclyde Country Park on Tuesday, September 27 by members of the public after an alleged attack.
Officers were sent to woodland near the remains of an old Roman bathhouse after 3pm.
It is claimed that a 27-year-old was jogging in this area when she was approached from behind by a would-be attacker.
A struggle is said to have ensued with one member of the public giving chase to the man, while the shellshocked alleged victim was comforted by passers-by.
Police quickly succeeded in tracing the man they were looking for.
We can confirm that a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the attack.
