STAFF and children at the Cathedral Primary School nursery class are celebrating after receiving a glowing report.
The Motherwell nursery was visited by the Care Inspectorate in November, and recently received a first class report.
Eight key areas were looked at during the unannounced visit, with seven being graded ‘excellent’ and one at ‘very good’.
The inspection included assessing the quality of care and support, environment, staffing and management and leadership.
Questionnaires were also distributed to parents and carers of children who attend the nursery, as well as staff.
Headteacher Maria Shields said: “We are absolutely delighted with our outstanding report.
“All credit to our fabulous children, extremely supportive parents and our talented, enthusiastic staff.
“I’m immensely proud of all who contributed to this excellent report.”
