SEPA Eurocentral move

THE Scottish Environment Protection Agency is moving its operations to a new facility at Eurocentral.

The move is expected to happen early in 2013 and will include the relocation of its East Kilbride-based scientific, advisory and regulatory staff to Maxim Office Park.

The announcement follows last week’s official opening of the Co-operative Group’s new distribution centre at nearby Newhouse which will employ around 1,000 people.

The new SEPA facility will allow the organisation to bring together those staff working in related disciplines which will benefit the work SEPA does and also save public money.

The move will also enable SEPA to provide a first class laboratory, complementing the lab opened last year in Aberdeen.

Staff currently based in Edinburgh, Stirling and Perth are also expected to move to the new site.
