Sarah Ballantyne from Carfin raised more than £1,500 for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation with a 10,000 feet tandem skydive to help provide extra facilities, equipment, comforts and support for patients and their families at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh.

The PR manager ‘enjoyed’ a free fall from 10,000 down to 5,000 feet before riding the parachute back down to earth.

Sarah said: “I’m overwhelmed and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated including Tata Steel in Motherwell, HSBC and all the team at Beattie Communications.”
