Following Sainsbury’s announcement of their plans to open a new store in Motherwell, the company will hold a two day public exhibition of their proposed plans next week.
The exhibition will be held in the Moorings Hotel, Hamilton Road, from noon-4.30pm on Friday, April 15, and 10am-3pm the next day.
At the event, people will have the opportunity to comment on the proposals, ask questions and put forward their views directly to the project team.
Paul Miller, national development surveyor for Sainsbury’s, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to show the community our plans as we believe that all successful developments come about as a result of working in partnership with local residents, businesses, community groups, and the local authorities.
“We look forward to discussing the plans with the community and hearing their feedback.”
The proposed development is located on the former bus depot site on Hamilton Road and is for a new food store with approximately 60,000 sq ft of sales space, and in the region of 500 parking spaces.
