Residents of the former mining village of Bothwellhaugh gathered for their annual reunion last week.

The village, which is now part of the Strathclyde Park site, was occupied from the 1880s until it was abandoned in the mid-1960s.

Around 100 people - including former villager who now lives in Australia - attended the reunion which involved a gathering at the cairn in the park where Bothwellhaugh used to stand and a dance at Orbiston Bowling Club in Bellshill.
