Rail tragedy victim named

Police have confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 37-year-old man at a level crossing in Motherwell last week.

Brian Craig, of Linwood, Renfrewshire, was struck by a high speed train at the crossing in Logans Road. He had been working in Motherwell.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
