Raffle keeps cancer patients on the right road

MOTHERWELL and Wishaw MSP John Pentland visited the Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust (LCCT) shop in Caledonian Road, Wishaw, to take part in the charity’s bi-annual prize draw.

The money from the raffle goes towards paying for transport to take cancer patients to hospital and the winner of the £1,000 first prize was Irene Crombie of Motherwell.

Second prize: a voucher for designer glasses from Specsavers - Bobby Taggart of Hamilton; third prize: a four ball round of golf plus a one hour clinic with the professional at Carnwath Golf Club- Keith Watson of East Kilbride; fourth prize: a £50 Argos voucher - Jean Holmes of Uddingston; fifth prize: a digital camera - B Wilson of Larkhall.

There were also lots of other prizes won.

The charity would like to thank the following businesses for their support: Specsavers, Wishaw; Greggs HQ, Cambuslang; Morrisons, Airdrie; Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group, Glasgow; and Mr D Park, Carnwath Golf Club as well all the individuals who regularly support the Trust and also donated prizes.
