PUPILS at schools throughout the Motherwell and Bellshill areas have been proving they have a healthy outlook when it comes to choosing food.

As part of a Web-Bite promotion run by North Lanarkshire Council, and sponsored by Robert Wiseman Dairies, the pupils have been encouraged to choose healthy options when using their Young Scot cards to purchase school meals.

As a reward their names were entered into prize draws at each school - with a brand new mountain bike up for grabs as the top prize for the winner in each school and iTunes vouchers as runners-up prizes.

And as our pictures show the result was a number of pupils literally getting on their bikes to head along the road to improved health and fitness.
