LOOKING FOR A NIRVANA . . . staff are keen to find a loving home for Polly.

EVERY week the Times & Speaker teams up with the Scottish SPCA in a bid to rehome a pet.

And this week is the turn of Staffordshire bull terrier Polly, who is currently staying at the charity’s Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Hamilton.

The centre’s Gillian Boyle said: “Polly is six-years-old and has been in our care since June 2011, which is a real shame.

“She has been living in kennels for so long now, when she should be enjoying life as part of a loving family. She is okay with other dogs and walks well on her lead.

“Polly would suit a family home with older children, if there are any.”

If you can give Polly a loving home, please call the SSPCA Animal Helpline 03000 999 999, quoting ref Motherwell Times.

The Lanarkshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, on Bothwell Road, is open Tuesday to Sunday and bank holiday Mondays from 10am until 4pm.
