A group of 44 third year pupils from Our Lady’s High, accompanied by five members of staff, enjoyed a trip to the Edinburgh International Book Festival last week.

They attended a talk by author Lari Don, which focused on where ideas come from and encouraged suggestions of the downside to superpowers, and a discussion between Tony Bradman, Linda Newbery and Paul Dowswell, who have all contributed to an anthology on World War I. Many pupils particularly enjoyed hearing the authors’ own stories and research about the war.
